Wire Stretcher-Splicer
The versatile Goldenrod Fence Stretcher-Splicer handles a variety
of tough jobs. Model 405 includes a controlled release holding
ratchet to reduce line breakage. |

|
To Splice Wire
Here the stretcher is shown performing one of its most important
functions - splicing. Note how the hooks are taking up slack
from both ends of the wire and holding them in place, so both
hands are free to make a splice. The ends are held firmly
in place until the tension is released.
|

|
To Stretch Wire
Wire stretching is an easy task when you position the hook end
of the stretcher on the post and take up the slack. The hook
will remain fast to the smallest post or the largest tree until
released. |
|
To Staple Wire
In this operation the stretcher is shown with wire traveling
around the post, thereby eliminating all slack. This is particularly
important in stapling wire to corner post. Note how the stretcher
holds the wire tightly in place for stapling. |
 |
To Raise Wire
The This illustration shows how the stretcher raises wire fencing
over hills or other obstructions. Not the position of stationary
hook on top of tence post.
To Draw Down
The stretcher can be used for drawing wire down to a “deadman” as when stretching
fence over wash cuts, draws, creeks, etc. |
