How do I remove the  plug in my HW Brand stock tank?

  • 1' Deep Tanks - The best method is to take a pair of needle noise pliers and grab the ridges inside the plug. Once you have a good grip start unscrewing the plug from the tank.

  •  2' Deep Tanks - The best method for these tanks is to have two pairs of pliers or vice grips. Because it is a two piece plug you will need to hold one side while unscrewing the other side.

What do I do if my HW Brand stock tank is leaking?

  • Contact the dealer you purchased your tank from. The first step is to apply tank sealant, they can order this for you. If it is still leaking, please talk to your dealer about our tanks warranty to determine if they can get you a replacement.

What is the difference between Commercial, Class 1, and Class 3 fence coatings?

  • The fencing that we carry is galvanized. This means that the steel wire has been immersed in zinc and covered with a zinc alloy that is resistant to rust. The different classes have a specific coating weights that they must meet. This is measured in weight per square foot of wire. Based on a 12 1/2 gauge wire the Commercial is minimal, Class 1 is .28 oz/ft2, and Class 3 is .80 iz/ft2. The heavier the coating the longer service life the product has.
